Americana Festival

The Americana Festival is held annually in Centerville, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. The festival starts with the Americana Parade early in the morning. There are usually over 100 floats or groups in the parade each year, including ones with the winners of the Americana Festival Scholarships. The Parade travels down one of the largest roads in Centeville, Franklin Street, and is usually attended by thousands. Once the parade is finished, the street fair portion of the festival begins on Main Street (Ohio State Route 48). Locals who make crafts offer them for sale, many booths offer food, and some local institutions set up booths to give out Freebies. Town Hall Theatre puts on a short, free play. The night finishes with a fireworks show at Centerville High School.
